Innovative design allows for a one handed application and features a convenient push button release on the buckle for ease of removal. Can be used for any application on hand and arm sites. Can also accommodate casts!
This new design can used for any foot or leg site and can also be used over casts. Using the same type strap as the Glove/Sleeve, the HydroSeal Boot has many applications. A featured non slip textured film enhances patient safety while a push button release allows for a one handed application.
HydroSeal Flex is a next generation product that utilizes a flexible and stretchable film to provide exceptional patient comfort and greater ease of use optimizing patient outcomes. The stretchable, flexible film allows full range of motion while preventing leakage.
HydroSeal Flex, Available in a 7”x 9” “Hybrid Size”, this is an important component in the design. Many times clinicians opt to use a larger size (i.e. 9’ X 9”) shower barrier for PICC sites in an effort to provide coverage above the PICC insertion site. This can present an issue for some patients as the film may “overwrap” around the arm and adhere to the other side of the film.
We have the solution. HydroSeal Flex utilizes a Hybrid size 7”x 9”. For proper application use the 9” side for the vertical axis and 7” side for the horizontal axis.
Latex and DEHP Free
Shower Protection
Keep PICC Lines, IV Sites, Dressings and Casts Dry During Showering. HydroSeal is a single use disposable shower barrier that covers and prevents all dressings, IV sites, and casts from water exposure during a shower.
Meets CDC Guidelines for Showering
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines for the Prevention of Intravascular Catheter-Related Infections state showering is permitted if precautions can be taken to reduce the likelihood of introducing organisms into the catheter. (e.g., if the catheter and connecting device are protected with an impermeable cover during the shower).
The HydroSeal Advantage:
Wash hands and prepare sight accordingly before applying HydroSeal.
Assess site and choose the appropriate sized sheet of HydroSeal to cover site. The adhesive border should extend beyond the dressing or area you want to prevent from getting wet. (Apply HydroSeal to clean dry skin. Creams and Lotions may inhibit the adhesive qualities of HydroSeal).
Remove top release liner from adhesive and adhere to skin.
Remove the bottom release liner adhesive and adhere to skin.
Remove release liner with Performance Enhanced Tabs and adhere to skin.
Remove opposite release liner with Performance Enhanced Tabs and adhere to skin.
Adhesive should be pinched together onto itself and around tubing to create a tight seal. Smooth outer border using firm pressure to ensure a proper seal around entire border of HydroSeal.
After showering, carefully remove HydroSeal in the direction of hair growth and dispose of accordingly.
